A conference on "Lending during the crisis: local economies and the banking activity in the 2008-09 great recession", organized by the Bank of Italy and the Department of Economics Marco Biagi, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, was held on 21 and 22 March, 2013, in Modena, at the Department's Aula Magna Ovest, via Jacopo Berengario 51.
The twelve papers focused on firms' and banks' reactions to the 2008-09 crises in Italy, with a specific reference to the heterogeneity in lending policies by banks as well as to the financial and economic conditions of firms located in different Italian regions.
