FAI Spring Open Days

On Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 March, on the occasion of the 20th edition of the Spring Open Days organized by the Fondo Ambiente Italiano (FAI), the Bank of Italy will open to the public:

  • the Bari Branch (corso Cavour, 4), one of the most important period buildings in Bari. The public banking hall has a very beautiful liberty-inspired stained glass ceiling
  • the Lecce Branch (via R. S. Consiglio, 5), built in the historical town centre at the start of the 20th century, featuring a monumental staircase in Trani stone
  • the Milan Branch (via Cordusio, 5), where it will be possible, among other things, to see the Dioscuri by Giò Pomodoro and some other important works by Balla, Guttuso and Hayez
  • the Bank's Tuscolano Complex in Rome (largo Volumnia, 2), where it is possible to visit the Claudio Felice Aqueduct.

The Bank of Italy's participation in the FAI Spring Open Days falls within the more general framework of the FAI's project, which this year has made it possible to visit 670 sites across Italy. The aim is to increase awareness and knowledge of Italy's immense artistic heritage, often housed in buildings not normally open to the public.
