Asset management companies and SICAVs

Asset management companies are public limited companies authorized to provide collective and client-by-client portfolio management services.
They can:

  • set up investment funds
  • manage own or other investment funds and those of open-end investment companies
  • provide portfolio management services
  • provide investment advice.

SICAVs are collective investment schemes, introduced into Italian legislation by Legislative Decree 84/1992 and subject to the provisions of the Consolidated Law on Finance.
