Cloud computing in the financial system - standards, regulations and monitoring

On 28 September 2012 the conference "Cloud computing in the financial system - standards, regulations and monitoring" was held at the Bank of Italy's Head Office in Rome. The results of preliminary research by the Bank on critical aspects of the use of cloud computing in the banking and financial sector were presented at the conference.

The meeting provided an opportunity to start discussions with institutions, research centres, banking groups and intermediaries on issues of interest for regulatory authorities, such as security, privacy and governance.
