The Annual Report is distributed at the Bank’s Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders, which the Governor opens by reading out the ‘Concluding Remarks’.
The Report contains an in-depth analysis of the main developments in the Italian and the world economy during the previous year and the early months of the current year. It describes in detail the monetary policy decisions taken by the Bank and its other institutional activities: supervision of banks and other financial intermediaries; market oversight; and payment services and oversight. The Bank’s balance sheet and profit and loss account are also included.
The Annual Report comes complete with a statistical appendix (available in the Italian version).
