The Bank of Italy at the 29th Turin International Book Fair

From 12 to 16 May the Bank of Italy took part in the 29th International Book Fair in Turin’s Lingotto district.

The Bank’s stand featured the multimedia installation ‘The ideas behind the banknote: creativity, technology and security’ and short seminars on financial education aimed at students.

In the meeting room high school students focused on banking and financial supervision and on payment systems, while the multimedia installation hosted short lessons on money, prices, inflation, spreads, exchange rates and human capital for elementary and middle school students.

During the presentation of the new €20 banknote of the Europa series, attention was given to the creativity, security and technology features that were incorporated into the banknotes.
