Speech by Salvatore Rossi on the Economic Progress of Italy: Historical Heritage and Future Prospects

Salvatore Rossi, Senior Deputy Governor of the Bank of Italy and President of the Italian Insurance Supervisory Authority (IVASS) gave a speech today on ‘The Economic Progress of Italy: Historical Heritage and Future Prospects’ at the economic conference commemorating the 150th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Italy and Japan. The Senior Deputy Governor outlined the evolution of the Italian economy from its unification to today, discussed Italy’s slow growth and its future prospects, and in conclusion, spoke about the cooperation between Italy and Japan.

The conference entitled ‘The Economics of Italy and Japan: Historical Development and Future Policies for Stability and Growth’ was organized by Keio University in Tokyo and Bocconi University in Milan with cooperation from the Italian Embassy in Tokyo.
