'Meetings with the Bank of Italy' in Bari, Florence and Padua

'Meetings with the Bank of Italy' is an itinerant project reaching out to a wide public in order to explain the tasks and functions of Italy's central bank, including with respect to current economic issues.

'Statistics for economic analysis' will be the theme of the meetings in Bari on 13 November and Florence on 15 November, where we will focus on the work of data collection and analysis that the Bank of Italy undertakes as part of its institutional role. Our experts will use concrete examples taken from published surveys to initiate a debate on the contribution of statistics and economic research to Italy's financial wellbeing.

On Friday 16 November in Padua, as part of the twenty-first edition of Exposcuola, the Bank of Italy will present the 'Meetings with the Bank of Italy' project to students and their teachers.

Our experts will use simple terms to explain what the Bank's functions are and above all what services it performs for the general public and how these services directly affect everyday life. They will talk about this by looking at the characteristics of the project and how it is organized.

The meetings will last for about one hour and will be held on 16 November at the Bank of Italy's stand (Stand 124 Pad. 14) at three different times, beginning at 9.30, 10.45 and 12.00.
