100 lire, 1897 – Counterfeit

This counterfeit is of the modified "old type" because it lacks the counterfoil and has in addition a background colour on both faces. But the original drawings of the vignette and the background are unchanged, though printed in different colours. The note is printed in letterset on commercial paper. The watermark is a printed imitation.
