The 2015 programme of technical cooperation seminars and workshops starts with a seminar on information systems auditing in central banks.

The rapid evolution of information technology poses new challenges to auditors and requires skills that are not easy to develop or maintain. Internal audit functions have to pay more and more attention to IT risks and guarantee effectiveness, efficiency and security of operational processes.

The seminar covers information systems auditing methods and techniques, with a focus on such new challenges, including cybersecurity risks.

Presentations are complemented by a visit to the Banca d’Italia IT Centre and to the TARGET2-T2S Single Shared Platform Operation Room.

Participants are representatives from central banks of new EU member states, EU candidates and potential candidates, countries included in the EU neighbourhood policy and other emerging economies.

Participation is by invitation only and is reserved to central banks.
