Secretariat to the Interministerial Committee for Credit and Savings

The Secretariat to the Interministerial Committee for Credit and Savings provides direct assistance to the Director General of the Treasury, in his capacity as Secretary of the Committee, in connection with meetings and for the performance of the tasks entrusted by law to the Minister for the Economy and Finance as Chairman of the Committee.

It also liaises between the Minister for the Economy and Finance and the Bank of Italy, primarily concerning supervision, and with customers of banks and financial intermediaries regarding matters of a general nature.

The Secretariat also coordinates the examination of regions' applications for authorization to make bond issues and liaises with the competent offices of the Ministry.
